What does music mean to you?
Everything. I sing compulsively, I make up melodies without thinking, I dream music. Music is in every part of me, my brain, my heart, my cells…

This is a long answer but to shorten it dramatically – Joni Mitchell, John Coltrane, Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, The Pretenders, Chaka Khan (Rufus), Stevie Ray Vaughan, Etta James, Johnny Hartman, Hendrix, Eric Gales, Hendrix…

Joni Mitchell – Blue, Stevie Ray Vaughan – Couldn’t Stand The Weather, John Coltrane – My Favorite Things, Stevie Wonder – Innervisions, Patsy Cline – Greatest Hits ’67
Other than being a musician, what else in the entertainment business would you be good at and why?
There’s really nothing else for me in the entertainment world besides being a musician. I worked in PR, management, etc. and it wasn’t me. Unless you consider producing, I’d be good at that if that’s all I did.
If you had to pick another music genre to play, what would it be?
I think I play them all already. I started with blues, punked out in my early 20’s, Rocked it through my 30’s, got a Jazz Degree in my 40’s and formed the country band “The Saddlebags”, back to playing the blues in my 50’s. I love the blues but still play all styles..
What do you think musicians can do to make the world a better place?
Tell the truth. Not be self-centered. Not destroy themselves by partying. Be themselves, i.e., be original.
What projects are you currently working on or will be working on in the future?
I just finished a new video with my band “HIppie Love Slave” for our song “Beguiled”. Planning now to heavily promote my new Bluesy domestic violence song “The Best Of Me” in the hopes of making it an anthem for the cause.
